    Ordering of Medicines

Our GP practices and Community Pharmacies are working incredibly hard to keep their services operating and medicine supply flowing in this extremely challenging time. Medicines are NOT in short supply. Please only order the medicines that you need from your GP practice. Do not order all of your medicines automatically every time. Please tell the practice which pharmacy you wish to collect medicines from. GPs and Community Pharmacies will work together to ensure you get your medicines when they are due. Pharmacies are extremely busy, please allow at least FIVE days from ordering your medicine to collection from the Community Pharmacy. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms (new continuous cough, fever, shortness of breath) or had contact with someone with corona virus DO NOT go to your Community Pharmacy. Stay at home and self-isolate. Please ask someone else to collect your medicines

    Flu Vaccine

If you are eligible for the flu vaccine, you may receive a letter from your GP Practice. The letter will advise how your GP Practice will provide your flu vaccination - in some instances, this may not be within your GP Practice but at a local venue or walk-through facility. Please take the letter with you when you attend for your vaccine or you may not receive it. You may also be able to get your flu vaccination at a participating Community Pharmacy* if unable to attend at your GP Practice (you should contact the pharmacy prior to attending). If you are eligible for the flu vaccine but have not received a letter from your GP Practice, please contact your practice to request one and give this to the Community Pharmacy when you attend.
