    Christmas and New Year Public Holidays

    The surgery will be closed on: Wednesday, 25th and Thursday, 26th December 2019 re-opening as normal on Friday, 27 December. We are also closed Wednesday, 1st January and Thursday, 2nd January 2020 re-opening as normal on Friday, 3rd January. If medical advice or attention is required when the surgery is closed, please telephone NHS 24 on 111. This is a telephone health advice and information servicewhich can be accessed 24 hours a day.

    Changes to our Triage System

    As from Monday, 7 October 2019, if you require advice or an urgent appointment please contact us between 8.30 am and 11.00 am or between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm. There will be no change in how we triage this will continue to be done by the duty doctor or practice sister in the usual way. We believe this will be a more efficient use of resources. Thank you for your co-operation.

    NHS Ayrshire and Arran Musculoskeletal Service has re-launched a condition specific web-site. The web-site is dedicated to patients with either shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, low back, foot/ankle and pain management.     GP Practices In Ayrshire are Changing

    GP Practices in Ayrshire and Arran are changing to help you get the right care and advice when you need it. In addition to the staff you may currently see within your practice, there will be a range of new roles which may include an advanced physiotherapist or practice support pharmacist. Over the coming year, these professionals will be based in or aligned to your GP practice. Your GP practice may also direct you to your local Pharmacist, Dentist or Optician. This may mean that you will not always see your GP. You may have noticed that some of these changes are already happening in your GP Practice, with the new staff in place offering specialist appointments to patients who are benefiting from accessing these services. These changes are all being introduced with the patient in mind at all times to ensure you see the right person, at the right time, in the right place. When you call the practice the practice administrator (receptionist) may ask you some questions about your symptoms to find out who the right professional is to help you. This is a key part to the practice administrators role. They are trained to signpost you to the most appropriate person or service. Any information you share with the practice administrator will be treated with confidentiality.
